TimeBanking is a fun, inclusive, and community-led way to share.
Why Time?
Money runs our world today — many depend on it for the essentials of life, and it limits our creative expression. And most of us don’t have a say in how much money we get access to.
What if we could share our creativity and access the skills and services we need without relying on money? And with a medium that we all have easy access to: our time.
We no longer need to wait for money through jobs, grants, and loans to fulfil our creative goals!
How it works
Through time-based exchange, anyone can offer to do what they like for others — and receive hours of help in return. It’s simple, equitable, accessible, and community-driven. You can do it today.
It is a community and trust-based approach, so you need to become a Colours of Being member to timebank with us!

FAQs
What if I don’t have enough timecoins to use?
You will receive enough timecoins when you sign up. After that, you can earn more timecoins by helping community members with your skills.
I am not an expert at any particular skill. Can I still provide help?
Yes, it is all about clarifying expectations with the person you are helping!
What if someone doesn’t show up, or their work doesn’t match what was agreed upon?
Time exchanges are logged only after both parties agree that the work is complete and approve it in the system. If there is still a disagreement, you can contact the timebank facilitator at Colours of Being. We generally recommend breaking down tasks into smaller pieces.
Can the exchange include money ?
Yes, it is complementary to money and does not need to fully exclude it. It can make sense to include it as part of the exchange if the skillshare requires buying some things with money (for example, a cooking workshop may include purchasing groceries). The monetary payment is agreed and done outside of our timebank, such as via Swish.
Are timecoins taxable in Sweden?
Our timecoins are used for sharing knowledge and skills in creativity and sustainability, and for members only. Hence, it is for the purpose of developing the Colors of Being community, and not for private benefits (for example, getting help with cleaning at home). Skatteverket has told us that using timebanking for this purpose is not taxable and can be considered to be a way to carry out internal competence development.
The invitation
Use your time and resources to empower yourself and truly connect with others. Win-win!
The Weave TimeBank is based on time coins. We are hosting it digitally on the platform TimeRepublik.
Ps. Due to legal and tax reasons, the WEAVE TimeBank is only available for members of the CoB Co-op. During the test phase until the end of August, it is also open for people who want to try it out and are considering a membership with CoB.
