A festival for love and change
/ˌriːˈlʌv.juː.ʃən/ also written: re·LOVE·u·tion — A revolution of love. A bottom-up movement rooted in compassion, empathy, and human connection, aimed at transforming individuals and communities by centring love as a guiding force. A conscious shift away from systems driven by fear, scarcity, and division — toward care, abundance, and collective healing.

Why this festival exists
We are Swan, Devansh, Vilja, and Iury (in order from the left) and we believe the world needs more love. Not the sexual kind or that we all need to be in romantic relationships with each other, rather the kind of love that sees each person as a human and brings us together as people. The one that gives space to be ourselves, not perform according to the labels that are attached to us.
reLOVEution is our answer to that. We are creating a lived experience of what’s possible when people show up with openness and genuine curiosity toward each other.
What will happen
Over four days in Värmland, we’ve designed an experience that works on two levels — living a different way of being together, and finding ways to create it beyond the festival.
That looks like
- Living: Shared meals, swimming, sauna, music, and a lot of unscheduled playtime, which is intentional, because play is where things loosen up and something new can emerge.
- Finding: Workshops on future visioning, nuance, and embodiment —
We are here to be the softness and openness the world needs more of, AND to take something real home with us.
Why make reLOVEution happen
To address disconnection, loneliness and polarisation.
With the reLOVEution we are creating space to practice the world we want to live in — where people show up as full human beings rather than their roles, opinions, or labels.
As communities we need a reLOVEution because shared space is where trust is actually built // in a room, around a fire, at a shared table.
As a society we need a reLOVEution because transformation doesn’t trickle down from the top. It grows from the ground up, between people who chose to show up differently.
We need a reLOVEution to start practicing the change we want to see, AND have a space where our vision and actions can take root.

How to get there
By train: The closest train stations are Grums, Arvika, and Edane. Join this WhatsApp chat to arrange transport from the train station.

We will hold the festival if we reach min 70% of the total goal, to fund the hours and expenses needed to put this together.
Critical Decision Date: 17th of July.
If the goal is not reached by then, the festival will not take place and everyone gets a refund.

Lodging Options
You book your lodging separate to your festival pass. You can book as a group and have a whole house to yourself (Options 1 & 2), or share accommodation in a barn, or on the campsite (Options 3 & 4).
Option 1. JORDKÄLLARE (private cottage)
For groups. Sleeps 4 people. Comfortable lodging for 3 nights at a newly built standalone house with 4 beds (one double bed, one bunk bed, shower inside, WC outside, pantry with fridge). Bedsheets, duvet, duvet covers, and pillow covers are included. [1000SEK pp]
Option 2. BOA (private cottage)
For groups. Sleeps 4 people. Comfortable lodging for 3 nights at a rustic standalone house with 2 beds and 2 mattresses. shower, sauna, pantry with fridge). Bedsheets, duvet, duvet covers, and pillow covers are included. [750SEK pp]
Option 3. QIGONG BARN (shared dorm)
Dorm. Lodging in the Qigong barn, where you are provided with a mattress. Bring your own bedsheets, blanket covers, blanket, pillow, pillow cover. There will be two shared bathrooms with WC and showers. [350SEK pp]
Option 4. CAMPSITE
Lodging in the outdoor camping area, where you can stay in your own tent or camper van. You will have access to the two shared bathrooms with WC and showers in the Qigong barn. [200SEK pp]
OBS! Practical Tips
- Bring your own bedding if you’re staying in the shared Qigong barn. Bedsheets, blanket covers, and pillow covers are available for rent for 100 sek per person.
- Bedsheets, duvet, duvet covers, and pillow covers are included in the group accommodation (boa and jordkällare).
- Electric car charging is available, one can swish us 3SEK / kWh for usage after charging.
Volunteering
In exchange for around 8 hours of practical support across the festival days you can volunteer at the reLOVEution.
Your contribution will look like helping with breakfast and dinner preparation, cleaning shared spaces, taking care of the kitchen after meals, and generally holding the space alongside the team. Tasks rotate between volunteers, so no one carries the same load all the time.

About the theme // NUANCE
This is Phase 1 — and we’re beginning with nuance. A small gathering, around twenty people, three nights in the Swedish forest. We’re starting here because nuance is the foundation of everything reLOVEution wants to build: it’s where life actually happens, where the space opens up to bridge differences and come together across the things that usually keep us apart. Without it, we retreat into our own minds, our own groups, our own echo chambers — curious only about people who already think like us. Love, at its core, is nuanced. So let’s begin there.

This isn’t a space for people who already have the answers. We want people who are curious, different, and willing to show up as they are.
If ONLY activism or systems talk leaves you a little incomplete
— same.
This is the human level. The relational level. The place where change actually starts.
If you’re coming alone

There will be others who arrive not knowing anyone. That’s part of it.
Why is reLOVEution a festival, not a retreat?
— even thought the structure is more closely resembling a retreat?
Because “retreat” implies stepping away — withdrawing, slowing down, going inward and staying there. That’s not quite what we’re building. Yes, the days will hold the kind of depth and intimacy you’d find in a retreat: small group, real container, room to actually feel something. But the spirit underneath it is different. A festival is alive. It’s celebratory. It moves. It’s a gathering of people coming toward something together, not away from the world — toward connection, toward each other, toward the messier, more nuanced kind of life we’re here to practice.
So: the form might borrow from a retreat. The spirit is a festival.
What’s the vibe?
Warm, real, playful, a little wild, a little quiet. No dress code, no performance, no right way to be.
It’s going to be messy, magnificently human.
